Our story unfolds in the beautiful lakeside community of Port Perry, Ontario on the shores of Lake Scugog where Dana Smith, our Founder began her journey many years ago. 

In 1992 as a newly trained goldsmith (George Brown College-Jewellery Arts) and gemmologist (Canadian Gemmological Association and Gemmological Association of Great Britain), Dana's passion quickly became one-of-a-kind jewellery designs for clients near and far.Dana’s Goldsmithing is a progressive and trend-setting jewellery store and manufacturing facility focusing on the customer experience by ‘Making it Personal’.The showroom displays a beautiful selection of gold, diamond and coloured gemstone jewellery designs as well as fashion forward lines in every colour of gold, platinum and sterling silver. 

The layout of the store includes design consultation tables as well as a glassed wall separately showroom from back shop, allowing clients to watch their experienced team at work.  Using state of the art programs and equipment, the Dana’s team includes onsite goldsmiths, a gemmologist, CAD model makers, a team of designers and graduate jewellers that focus on telling their client’s story through jewellery. 

Hey, I’m Kyra! For as long as I can remember I’ve had a love for all things art and adornment. After graduating with a Bachelor in Fine Arts I travelled and worked until I came upon the Jewellery Arts program at George Brown College.  That’s when I had found what I was meant to do. I thoroughly enjoyed learning the jewellery design & goldsmithing processes and was even fortunate enough to win a few awards for my work upon my graduation. As Manager of Production and a Designer at DG I get to work among such an incredible team and be a part of the beautiful work that we do, which is so special. I know that have found my place.

Hello, I’m Sandra. I was always drawn to jewellery store windows and wondered how things were made so, from a young age, I wanted to make fine Jewellery and work with my hands. Graduating from George Brown College in 1991, I became a goldsmith and now run the Production behind the scenes in this beautiful, historic building we get to work in. Born and raised in Germany, I inherited my artistic flair from my Omi and have passed that creativity onto to my daughters. Colour makes me happy, and I adore being surrounded by colourful gemstones and pearls. I love my work family and being part of such a great team. Outside of work I am drawn to the ocean and enjoy travelling to old, historical cities and spending time with family.

Hi, I’m Tracey! My passion for jewellery started at a young age as I would browse the store windows, fascinated by the beautiful styles, glitz and glam. I have always loved exploring smaller jewellery shops and seeing the unique designs that goldsmiths have created. With a background in sales and client service, it was not until eight years ago where the opportunity to work in the field presented itself. I have loved watching the innovation and creativity of the industry and its specialists. I enjoy helping people select the perfect pieces for themselves, as gifts, and for special occasions. To me, jewellery is such a special way to express yourself – and a way to sentimentally reflect your history through passed-down pieces and stones.

Originally from Ontario, I spent 17 years living and raising a family in Australia. Creativity has always been a large part of my life, whether it be through painting, interior design, helping my kids with their art projects, or perfecting a new cocktail recipe. I love to travel, visit sandy beaches, cook for loved ones, and spend as much time as I can with my husband, children, and yorkie.

Hi I’m Ashley. I have always had a passion for fashion, styling, and design from a young age. After graduating from The Art Institute for Fashion Marketing and Merchandising I started my career in the fashion retail industry, and for the last 18 years I have gained a background in visual merchandising, management, styling and customer service . I have always had a soft spot for small town businesses and thus has brought me to Danas Goldsmithing. The Jewellery industry has been a new adventure for me, but I have gained so much knowledge and this would not have been possible without the amazing team here at Dana`s. Born and raised in Port Perry, Dana`s Goldsmithing has always been a part of special occasions in my life, and I love being a part of finding that special piece for our customers. When not at work, I love discovering new fashion pieces, interior decorating and spending time with friends and family, especially with my husband, son and daughter.

Hi, I’m Jadelyn! I’m the Accounting Manager here at Dana’s Goldsmithing. Working in the accounting field for over 15 years I’ve developed an appreciation for the fundamental principle of a balanced transaction. This, along with my attention to detail, ensures that I can provide the most accurate and timely information for the team, allowing them to make the most informed financial decisions. I take such joy in assisting small businesses see continued growth and success and could not be more grateful to be given the opportunity to be a part of this beautiful and energetic team!

I keep myself busy outside of work by staying active, as an avid runner and wannabe golfer, and want to travel to as many places as I can. I also enjoy spending time with my amazing family, reading a good book, and enjoying a glass of wine (or two) with those closest to me.
